Rereading the Bible has been a transformative experience. I found myself drawn back to the teachings that emphasize love, kindness, and humility—principles that should guide our lives and interactions with one another. I was struck by how far some interpretations strayed from the essence of compassion that Jesus embodied. In my quest for a broader understanding, I explored Jewish teachings and Wiccan philosophies, discovering wisdom that emphasizes justice, community, and respect for every individual. This exploration has helped me understand that true faith should inspire us to lift one another up, not divide us.
Because of this deepened understanding, I confidently cast my vote today for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Although I no longer have a uterus, I believe that every woman I love, every woman I will love, and even those I may never meet deserve the autonomy to make choices about their own bodies. It is not our place to dictate how others should live their lives or whom they can or cannot love. The right to control one’s own body and make personal choices is fundamental, and it is essential that we honor this right for everyone.
As I stood in the voting booth, I felt a surge of hope for our country. I hope that today marks the beginning of healing and progress, an opportunity for us to come together and embrace the values of compassion and understanding. We are at a critical moment, and I believe that the path ahead lies in acknowledging our shared humanity and the diverse experiences that enrich our society.
My relationship with God remains strong, guiding me to act with love and respect toward others. I am committed to standing up for the rights of those who may feel silenced or marginalized, envisioning a future where all individuals are empowered to make their own choices without fear or judgment.
As we move forward as a nation, I hope we can unite in our desire for healing, understanding, and love. Let us champion the rights of all individuals and create a society where everyone can live authentically. Today, I voted for compassion, and I believe we can build a brighter future together.
